Connecting to the WFHLD Network
The first step in accessing WFLHD network drives remotely is connecting to the Radius server. This can be done in one of two ways:
Use WFLHD dial-up via an analog modem line:
- To dial in open the dialup folder on your desktop.
- Select either WFLNET Toll Free or Local and open the connection.
- Enter your current network username and password.
- If you are using a phone that requires you to dial a 9 to reach an outside line you will need to manually enter 9 and a comma before the number that is already in the phone number field 9, 1-800-418-8399.
- Click Dial and answer the question box that will pop up asking if you wont to save the new dialup number.
Use the Cisco VPN Client over broadband:
- Connect to a broadband source either using a network patch cable or wireless if you have an enabled wireless adapter. This can be verified by trying to access a few web pages such as www.google.com and www.msn.com .
- Open the Cisco VPN Client which can be located either as a yellow lock icon on your desktop or under Start > Programs >Cisco Systems VPN Client.
- WFLNET Remote TCP should appear as a connection.
- Select WFLNET Remote TCP and click Connect.
- A VPN Client User Authentication log in box should appear.
- Replace the username with your own network username.
- Enter your current network password and click OK.
- A disclaimer should pop up that tells you that you are accessing a secured government network.

NOTE: Once either dial up or VPN has connected successfully to the Radius server you can access your network drives by using the following steps.
- Right click the big red N to the left of your system clock.
- Select the top option NetWare Login...
- Enter your current network password and click OK.
- You should see a white login script run. When this has completed click Close and you should be able to access your network drives from My Computer. This access may be much slower than when you are in the office.
