TO MAKE THE SHAPES (SUPERS) ---AUTOMATIC MODE---


Geopak 2000 introduced a completely new way to create the "Auto-Shapes".   However, for the sentimentalist, the "Classic 98" method is still available.   Both methods produce an ASCII text file that can be edited.   The choice is up to you, but I would suggest using the new method, as I've found it to be more accurate and complies with WFLHD policy.

Brief explanations of each method are explained below.

Make your selection below:

For shaping approach roads and parking lots, use the manual method of shaping:

APPLICATIONS > GEOPAK ROAD > CROSS SECTIONS > SUPERELEVATION SHAPE MANAGER TOOLS

...and select SHAPE MAKER from the Superelevation Shape Manager Tools tool box.

This is relatively easy, and actually does many other things.

The use of this tool is explained very well in the GEOPAK 2001 MANUALS, "Pavement Definitions, Cross Sections & Earthwork", PART I, Chapter 6, "Shape Maker Tool".

The recommended method for using this tool is "Automatic".
